You Don't Have to Pretend Everything Is Fine.

This year, Jewish Workshops is creating a space for honest conversations about some of the experiences that can feel especially difficult during the Yamim Noraim.

You Belong Here is a FREE series of intimate, thoughtful conversations led by remarkable speakers who understand these challenges, many from their own lived experience.

Each conversation focuses on a different life experience and the people who are navigating it.

You can be surrounded by people and still feel apart. Navigating infertility while everyone else seems to be building a family. Carrying a marriage that's lonely on the inside, or raising a child whose path looks nothing like you imagined.

This is not a class. It's a guided conversation, led by women who don't just understand these struggles from the outside, many have lived them. Choose the one conversation that's yours, or belongs to someone you love. There's no cost. Just a place for you.

The Conversations

You don't need to attend every session.
You don't need to identify with every topic.
Simply choose the conversation that reflects your experience — or the experience of someone you love.

You Aren't Alone

There are experiences that can be difficult to talk about, especially when it seems like everyone around you is celebrating.

You Belong Here brings together people who understand that not every Rosh Hashanah looks the same — and that your experience deserves a place too.

From the Desk of the CEO

Dear Friend,

There is something about the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah that can make us especially aware of where we are in life.

For some, it is a beautiful and exciting time.

For others, it can bring up grief, longing, loneliness, worry, or questions that don't have easy answers.

At Jewish Workshops, we’ve heard from so many people whose experiences don’t fit neatly into the picture of what the Yamim Noraim are “supposed” to look like.

And we wanted to create a place for them.

That is how You Belong Here came to be.

We brought together thoughtful, compassionate speakers to have honest conversations about some of the experiences that can be particularly difficult to navigate during this time of year.

These aren't conversations about having the right answers or putting a positive spin on something painful.

They are conversations about being seen. About being understood. About knowing that whatever your story looks like right now, there are others who understand.

And so, as Rosh Hashanah approaches, I want to personally invite you to join us.

Come to the conversation that speaks to you.

Come for yourself, or for someone you love.

You don't have to come to all of them. You don't have to explain yourself. And you certainly don't have to pretend that everything is okay.

Just come as you are.

Because you belong here.

Warmly,

Jillian
CEO, Jewish Workshops
